Geoffrey Farwell brings over a decade of hands-on experience guiding clients through complex probate and trust disputes. His work centers on the kinds of cases that demand both legal precision and a steady presence: trust contests, inheritance conflicts, financial elder abuse, contested conservatorships, and fiduciary misconduct.

Whether it’s sorting out a tangled estate or defending a trustee in high-stakes litigation, Geoff is known for seeing the full picture. He’s handled cases from first filings through discovery, trial prep, and even appeals, including briefing and oral argument before the California Court of Appeals. He also advises on estate planning and business governance, giving clients a broader perspective on how decisions today can avoid litigation tomorrow.

A two-time Super Lawyers Rising Star (2022 and 2023), Geoff has contributed to the Probate Attorneys of San Diego Handbook and served on the Executive Committee for the San Diego County Bar’s Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section.

He earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor for the Journal of Climate and Energy Law. He also holds both a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Redlands.

Outside the office, Geoff invests his time mentoring newer attorneys and staying active in San Diego’s legal community. But his deepest focus remains on helping families and fiduciaries navigate complicated, emotionally charged cases with clarity, empathy, and resolve.
